This Just In.... :-)
...hello there blogger fam! It's me again! Let me start by apologizing for the lack of posts for the last couple of months. I have been working on my independent project, rounding up letters of recommendation, researching graduate programs, trying to find out where to start in taking that damned GRE, working on my submissions for theblackpphire.com (which should be available for your reading pleasure very soon), getting ready for back to school (I have younger siblings and a nephew, so you know how that goes), apartment hunting, car hunting, fighting narcolepsy at work due to ridiculous offsite meetings (no, I don't really have narcolepsy...it was a joke people....learn to laugh lol)--all the while finding time for a slice of bread hear and there. Overall, ya girl just have been feelin KA-POOT lately. I know I know...there's absolutely NO excuse for me to neglect the blog. You can expect me to be posting a little more, due to my internet access at the house ;-) (yeeaaaah boooyyyy)! ...as mentioned above and previously, my contributions to internet forums, me running my mouth on myspace, and this very blog rye-chea that has afforded me the opportunity to expand creatively. I also have recently received a call from my great uncle Ronald (I never met him). He graduated waaaay back in the day from Morehouse College.....get this....with the SAME DEGREE AS MOI!....SAME MINOR TOO!...and he's a college professor!...Ain't that somethin?...so THAT'S where it came from! (now I just gotta work up the nerve to call the guy back....*doh!*)...finally... even though it appears I'm complaining or venting most of the time here (oh who am I kidding? ALL the time!), among all my hecticness, I would like to thank everyone for listening...I'm a really nice girl with a lot on my mind (and frustrations lol)...my ability to vent here prevents my grouchiness from negatively affecting my work. And we wouldn't want that now would we? :-)
....deuces,
~Kesh

Oh snap!
...nearing the end of my eighth week. My measurements were pretty much maintained, so I assumed I had reached my "plateau" if you will. In maximizing my results, I ended up feeling faint, fatigueed, and overexhausted. Don't try this at home people:I have chicken legs and pip-squeak sized arms, and you know that's a no-no, so after work on Tuesday, I went to my campus's gym to run a lap or two, and to use the upper-body arm lift thigamagig. Stayed for about 30-40 minutes. No harm no foul.
- After I got home, i defrosted a couple of bottles of water to get ready for cardio. My dumbass decided to put my little brother (he's 5...you know...as a body weight), on my back for a jumpin' jack reps. The lil joker is light as all get out, but after a few minutes, he started to feel like a ton! I quickly made him get off me.
- And not more than 15 minutes into my cardio, I started feeling sick and weak...like my nose was about to bleed or something. So I said, "forget it", and cut that junk off.
- The next day, (Wednesday), I felt like shit. I mean, I couldn't get anything done. I admit, I skipped class that day, did the moderated version of the Ab Sculpt, and took a much needed nap. I didn't even study :-(

...so today, I'm basically playing catchup. I measured the other day, and I lost about 1/4 of an inch more...yeah I know...it's not like the inch i lost last month, which is my reason for overworking myself. Needless to say folks, I won't be doing that again. My back and arms STILL hurt from that junk X-(

...a note from Kesh...
...yeah yeah...I know I've been slackin a bit with this blog thang. If its any consolation, I have been writing quite frequently in my journal *big grin*. Oh, and I have been published yet again! Look for me in New South Magazine *another big grin*. Guess I should keep on keepin' on then huh?...School has been kickin' my ass lately as usual, so I had to devote more time to that n'ah mean?...and in other Kesh-related news, I had to reorg some of my class, even though the school's system has me slated to graduate in the Summer (WTF?). So I guess I'll holla at my advisor to see what's up with all that.
I shall be back with my usual shenanigans in a few...stay tuned!

Hallmark Creative Recruiting Studio
...well I'll be damned. They picked ME...(that's right...ME PEOPLE! :D) to participate in their creative workshop on February 20th! I will be prepared with my senior portfolio in hopes of getting an intern(and/or externship with them) . I can't believe it!...I am sooo happy! (big grin)...thanx C-dawg!
Bascially, I had to send them my resume, along with 6 samples...I owe all that mean criticism to Mr. Green. Maan, I would go in thinking I wrote a beautiful poem, and he would just shatter my lil dreams..."be more explicit" he would say. "oh, come on. you can do better than that. that's a shitty ass poem...START OVER" *sniff sniff* (thanx Mr. Green!)...I guess I can say all that editing won the Hallmark folks over, because THEY PICKED ME!
I hope they help workshop some of our poems.
