Mesquite-A-Helper :D

okay folks, it's recipe time! Get your tastebuds ready to dance with Kesha's Bomb-Ass-Off-The-Chain-Oh-So-Saucy-Mesquite-A-Helper....(you may now catch your breath lol). Improvise time!

Here's what you'll need...:

  • Medium boiler

  • Some heat

  • A skillet

  • Pack of egg noodles (or Mac 'N Cheese noodles if you don't have enough ;D ). They have the dolla packs at Walmart.

  • Some ground turkey (keyword people....Turkey!...tryna stay on the good side)

  • One of those packets of seasoning mix....get steak flavor or something

  • A lil bit of milk

  • Your favorite meat spices (Mrs. Dash has some fancy-smancy ones)

  • Bottle of Masterpiece BBQ Sauce

  • a teensy weensy dash of Hot Sauce
  • some Worchser----hell, you know what i'm talkin' about----Sauce
  • and some of that big boy A1 Sauce (...can't live without it)

Now for the simple steps...:

  1. Season meat with sauces and seasonings. Don't forget to googe some of that A1 in there. That gives it the "mesquite" tastin' flavor. Fold over a few times for even distribution.

  2. Brown meat in skillet (medium heat); in the boiler (slightly between medium and medium high heat), dash a lil salt in there, heat the water, put them noodles (or pastas) in there, and cook 'em! (I like to cook my pasta first)

  3. Drain meat. Add milk, water from the boiler, and seasoning packet. Keep stirring for a couple of minutes. Your pasta should be ready, so add the cooked noodles to the mix. Reduce heat.

  4. Squeeze majority of MasterPiece into the mix. Stir a lil more. The Idea is to keep the BBQy taste to it.

....and BIM!...there you have it folks. Toast you up some cheese toast. Get yourself a glass of wine. And there ya go!

Oh snap!

...nearing the end of my eighth week. My measurements were pretty much maintained, so I assumed I had reached my "plateau" if you will. In maximizing my results, I ended up feeling faint, fatigueed, and overexhausted. Don't try this at home people:

I have chicken legs and pip-squeak sized arms, and you know that's a no-no, so after work on Tuesday, I went to my campus's gym to run a lap or two, and to use the upper-body arm lift thigamagig. Stayed for about 30-40 minutes. No harm no foul.


  • After I got home, i defrosted a couple of bottles of water to get ready for cardio. My dumbass decided to put my little brother (he's 5...you know...as a body weight), on my back for a jumpin' jack reps. The lil joker is light as all get out, but after a few minutes, he started to feel like a ton! I quickly made him get off me.
  • And not more than 15 minutes into my cardio, I started feeling sick and weak...like my nose was about to bleed or something. So I said, "forget it", and cut that junk off.


  • The next day, (Wednesday), I felt like shit. I mean, I couldn't get anything done. I admit, I skipped class that day, did the moderated version of the Ab Sculpt, and took a much needed nap. I didn't even study :-(

...so today, I'm basically playing catchup. I measured the other day, and I lost about 1/4 of an inch more...yeah I know...it's not like the inch i lost last month, which is my reason for overworking myself. Needless to say folks, I won't be doing that again. My back and arms STILL hurt from that junk X-(

Why is it that...

...in engaging in "casual sex", a.k.a "fucking", the fuckER and his/her fuckEE refer to each other as "lover"?...WTF?...shouldn't they both be called "fuckers"?

...speakin' of the derrogatory words, why is it that swear-words attack women? Heffa, The B-Word, MOTHERfucker? That's it...from now on, FATHERfucker is my new cussword.

...grown-ass Northerners (keyword: "grown-ass"...see: able to go back to wherever the hell you came from)...a.k.a Georgia Transplants come down here complainin? Homesick? Why the hell are you still down here? Decent Real-Estate? School? Do us all a favor and take ya ass back!

...in the movie "Waist Deep"...in the scene where you got Tyrese, Larenz Tate, and Meagan Goode highspeed chasin' with the po-po, you got a dead-as-a-door-nail Larenz still leanin to one side, but not rockin' to the other side....in all them twists and turns? Come on now Larenz...let's learn how to play dead better than that

...Time to cut out (*coughcutdownjustalilcough*) the sodas

...week six of the workout plan...obviously, I'd achieve better results if I stuck to the food plan provided, but eh...I'm a southern gal...a greedy one at that...so I'm just gonna promise myself to cut back. We must crawl before we walk! (i.e., we must take baby steps before we quit!)....so how's about cuttin' a sista some slack here.

First things first: Admittance
  • My name is Kesha, and I have a problem: I'm addicted to snacks.
  • six weeks of workin out = six weeks of no candy, Lil Debbies, or Krispy Kremes...I'm cryin' like a big baby now...;-(....but that's waaay too much sugar and calories...so this is what I'm gonna push myself to do...three 8oz cups of water every time I get the urge to drink a soda....you know...trying to dilute my addictions a bit lol.

...so there you have it folks...and I've never broken a promise to myself, so I shall see more results soon!

10% Tip: Soda Substitutes -- Kesha's "Off the Chains" Bomb-ass Green Sweet Tea

...again folks...use it, don't abuse it.

What you'll need:

~a medium-sized boiler

~a stove with some heat

~a fridge with some power

~water

~a pitcher, or one of those plastic container thingies, with the spout at the bottom, (damn, I remember back in the day, Hardeez gave those out for the Fourth of July!...we had about 10 of 'em! lol...okay, back to bid'ness)

~damn near 10 greentea bags of Bigelow Green Tea(I done spent plenty of $ trial testin', so you people better appreciate this!)

~sugar...(notice I didn't say "tons of sugar"...you're welcome :-D )

~time and patience

The Simple Steps: (fiiiiivve steps....two steps past Mars....and three wishhheeeesssss)

  • Bring the water to a boil. Cut off the fire
  • Let the tea bags chill in the water...for a few hours (6-8) ....I know I know...like Nike says, "Just Do It"
  • Pour brewed tea into pitcher...mix with water
  • add sugar to your desired taste
  • put pitcher in the fridge...let it chill "Let's chill...we gotta settle down"
  • and BIM! you got yourself some Bomb-Ass Green Tea!

Some Good News

  • Exactly 4 weeks, 1 day, 6 hours, some minutes and some seconds 'till I get my piece of paper!!! (Class of '08 !)...it's been a loooong time comin (major change, issues on top of issues, etc), but I DID IT! I gotta send my class ring back to replace a diamond and my topaz fell out, but no sweat (yay me!)...let's see here:...invites and thank you's? check....cap and gown ordered? check....portfolio complete? in progress, no worries...cap and gown pics?...coming soon....looks like I'll be shopping this weekend. Get me some way cute shoes and a freakum dress to celebrate in!


  • As soon as I get my piece of paper, I will be promoted! I'm doing some training as we speak! (naaah naaah naah naah, wait 'til I get my $$$ right ;-D )...not sure if I wanna stay here long term, but we shall see!


  • I'm getting a few writing samples edited as we speak! And guess what that means? Pretty soon, my lil book will be available for sale! (daggone it, perhaps I should start working on a title too huh?) lol....hopefully one of my homeboys can help me out with the artwork...If not, it's cool. I shall doodle some stuff my own! I have to do a little tweaking here or there, but I'm trying to get at least 50 pieces done and ready for print!



      • After beggin Daddy from week to week to fix my dag on car, he has FINALLY agreed! begging from week to week, Daddy has FINALLY agreed to fix my car!...and guess what else?...I'm finally MOVING!...yes ma'am (and sirs), I am going apartment hunting! And NO I don't want any roomates (heeheehee)

      Five weeks into it!

      ...so I've just completed my 5th week into this Hip Hop Abs thang (i'm stayin consistant yall!!)...here's my results so far:

      Height: Still the same...I'm probably done growing lol...5'2"

      Weight: 131lbs!...(as you can see...I lost 3 pounds!...yaaaay mee!)

      Bust: 36 inches...*sigh*...still the same...guess I can't expect much from an ab-targeting system

      Waist: 31.5 inches....oh snaps! It's workin! ;-D

      Booty: 34 inches...still the same

      ...right now, i'm at the second set of videos, including "Fat Burning Cardio II", "Ab Sculpt II", and "Hips, Buns, and Thighs". Boy, when I say my legs be on fire, my legs be on FYE!...dude'll (Shaun T's his name) have you squatin for minutes at a time, poppin' ya booty, hangin' ya legs up in the air, i'm like damn!...i'm gettin too old for this junk here!...but then I discovered that one of the chicks workin with him is 34 (did you hear me?!....THIRTY FOUR YEARS OLD!!), who doesn't look a day over 25. So I got my happy ass on up and worked it some more.

      ...now, hopefully at the first week in May, I should be where I wanna be before graduation. If not...well guess what?....looks like I'll have plenty to do for the Summer!

      It's been HELL without my Krispy Kremes...(cries like a big baby), but I've been maintainin'. I've decided to include a few of my very own discovered tips. Check it out...by yours truely ;-)....happy sweating! :








      ~Frozen Treat 101: Cake Cravings? Doughnut Cravings? Head to your local Kroger's and getchu some 100%fruit bars! Or, if you're like me (and on a budget), choose three different fruits (in my case, strawberries, bananas, and pineapples), blend it with a couple of drops of butternut rum flavoring, a few squizzles of honey, and ice....fill up some styrofoam cups, freeze for a few hours...and BOOM!...Kesha's very own smoothie freezie cup treats! (copyrighted 2008 suckas...use, but don't abuse).
